At the request of the art director of our comprehensive resource Gallerix, respected Sergey Fateev, I tell you, dear readers, about how the final exhibition of graduates of my photo courses 2015 went, with a small summary of the work done and the upcoming work.

On September 3, 2015, the final exhibition of my students and graduates of 2015 ended.

Neither I, nor my “oldest” students, prefects, as I call them in the best educational traditions of Russia and Europe, are no longer able to calculate how many exhibitions and photo projects have been held by our photo workshop.

At our exhibitions there are always a lot of visitors, guests and famous people, high-level artists. Of course, I invite some of them myself, personally, but some come by themselves, which impresses me every time.

And I with all responsibility, from the first person, inform you that it has always been so. Even when my training programs were not part of the educational programs of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, when we did not have such a powerful information sponsor as Gallerix and a number of other well-known media representations.

Almost all students of my courses begin to work in the field of photography on a professional basis. They are invited to the studio, they go to work abroad, they are recognized by their own style and turn to them for photography.

At the last exhibition, at least three of my students received an offer to participate in the largest innovative project of the Museum of Russian Culture, which, as a teacher, flattered me to the core.

There are those who wish to photograph for themselves. It is very difficult to persuade such a listener to participate in the exhibition, taking into account the fact that I am not the kind of person who loves and knows how to crush where it comes to personal preferences of a person. And all the more pleasant is the return, because no matter how skeptical the audience is, neither sincerity, nor artistic vision and intuition, nor the very personal secret attitude to photography in their exemplary performance can be ignored in any way.

PS1 : They often ask me, Marianna Kornilova, ironically or skeptically - where are your works, why don’t you upload them to the network? I have two answers. The first is plagiarism. Offhand, five of my very famous works are often published online not under my name. Second, I demonstrate my work on the network only after they are exhibited in real life, in real exhibition halls. And since I am much more occupied with the exhibitions of my students, and directly performing my direct duties as the art director of the Lavrushinsky 15 exhibition hall, I am not up to my expositions.
