Nobuyoshi Araki was born in Tokyo in 1940 and was widely known for his candid image of women associated in the kinbaku technique (Japanese erotic binding). Araki photographed thousands of Japanese women from strangers to their lovers, revealing primal intense energy, physically fettered, but free emotionally.
Flowers - a separate favorite story of a famous photographer. Bright and challenging, they repeat the contours of the female body and extol the power of the feminine.
Still life from the series “Monstrous Paradise”, presented in the gallery, exhibited for the first time. Wild jungle, where danger and seduction, pain and bliss, life and death lurk. In each picture, sensual aesthetics is set off by the inevitability of the end. With more careful contemplation, the skin merges with the leaves, lips with flowers, the background is soaked with bloody eroticism.
Curators of the exhibition: Radmila Sarkisyan, Svetlana Eroshina.
The exhibition will be held from December 8, 2018 to February 2, 2019.
