Can you forgive rashness, betrayal and cruelty? And they can. They believe in the goodness of man to the last and remain more human even in their cruelty.
The sick and feeble old man Spiridon with his grandson Gogita are waiting for the end of the war and the return of his son and father from the front. In this hungry and heavy expectation a crippled dog appears in their life. The performance tells about how the life of the village changes with the advent of a dog named Dog, about the value of humanity and about situations in which it is easy to lose this humanity. The Great Patriotic War ended, ended in victory, and how does an invisible war end, when a person has to make a difficult moral choice every day, no one knows…
No one has set up Dumbadze in Crimea yet. Why the Yevpatoria Theater stopped at this work, said the artistic director of the production, Honored Artist of Crimea Andrei Permyakov.
- You did not think about what children grow up on today, on what ideals, on which “product”? On youtube! But what about children’s souls, into which all this blackness creeps into quietly, quietly, spyware every day?! - says Permyakov in an interview with the magazine "Sobaka.ru" Crimea. - Working with adolescents, we try to acquaint them with amazing works that fill the light and treat their souls. “Dog” is that case. This is a performance about the soul of a person, about the soul of a dog. About self-sacrifice, responsibility and compassion. This is necessary not only to stage performances, but to shout loudly.
The production included mountains, sky, the nature of Georgia, songs and the nature of the people. It provides a lesson in kindness, understanding, forgiveness and love, which can only be learned from Dogs.
