"Alexander Shipitsyn and students" invite visitors to the exhibition Automatic translate

October 29 at the Gallery of Siberian Art of the Irkutsk Regional Art Museum. V.P. Sukachev opens an exhibition of graphics "Alexander Shipitsyn and students." The public will be presented 70 linocuts, etchings, monotypes and drawings of the Irkutsk master and his students - students and graduates of the art department of the East Siberian State Academy of Education.

The exhibition, recently exhibited in Chita, arrived in Irkutsk, collecting favorable reviews from Transbaikal residents. Vernissage represents the work of the artist-teacher and his followers in recent years and combines a number of topics relevant to the authors: Irkutsk, outgoing and modern, the life of urban residents. A special place in the exposition will be occupied by works reflecting the conflict between man and society, the influence of the city’s space on the personal perception of the world, the loneliness of man in the urban environment. Among the participants of the exhibition: Anastasia Svinareva, Inga Taturevich, Nadezhda Lushchenok, Tatyana Zebarova and other talented young artists.

Alexander Sergeevich Shipitsyn (January 29, 1938, Irkutsk) - Irkutsk artist, graphic artist, etcher. He graduated from the Irkutsk Art College in 1960, the Moscow Polygraphic Institute, and the Department of Artistic and Technical Design of Printed Materials (KHTPP) in 1970. Since 1967 - a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. From 1967 to 1976 he taught at the Irkutsk College of Arts. Among his students are S.P. Nazarov, L.N. Nazarov, A.N. Lodyanov, O.V. Besedin, V.I. Sokolov. Honored Artist of Russia, professor of the department of fine arts, laureate of the prize of the governor of the Irkutsk region. His works are in the museum and art galleries of Irkutsk, Sayansk, Kemerovo, Barnaul, Novosibirsk, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, St. Petersburg, in private collections of Irkutsk and other cities of Russia, as well as Greece, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, Austria, USA, England.
