A wonderful artist performed in this performance not only as a director, he simultaneously played several roles at once.

Not every role is played by every actor participating in the play - such a desire was expressed when working on a play written by playwright Zinoviy Sagalov. The play tells about the famous artist Marc Chagall, but the story cannot be called biographical. Rather, it is a fantasy created from the brightest pieces of life flying randomly in front of a person at the last second of his life.

One of the motives in this fantasy performance is the repentance of the artist - to his loved ones, to God. Sergei Yursky himself says that almost all the facts of the life of Marc Chagall touched upon in the play are documentary. However, the goal of the production was to create an emotional story about the difficult life of a talented person.

The Ukrainian playwright Zinoviy Sagalov often uses biographies of famous people in his work, admitting that the topic affecting the relationship between the authorities and the artist is especially close to him. The amazing story of the artist, whose paintings were exhibited in the Louvre during his lifetime, although this was a complete violation of the rules established in this prestigious museum, was written in verse.

The appearance of this play on the stage to some extent became an experiment, since the viewer is not used to plays of such a plan - the stage space, verses without rhymes were originally used, and the ending of the play cannot be imagined in advance. About a year, the performance will go on only on the stage in the capital.
