On New Year’s Eve, a unique Zoo-Yolki entertaining and educational project will start at the zoo. Within the framework of it, from December 25 to January 7, New Year’s performances intended for family viewing will be held in the Zoodepo art space. Various animals will become their heroes along with those familiar to all Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden.
The Zoo-Yolki project will immerse the audience in an atmosphere of genuine magic and help them spend the New Year holidays unforgettably. In addition, each guest of the project will be able to contribute to the conservation of the Earth’s nature, since the proceeds from the sale of tickets will go to the maintenance of rescued and confiscated animals.
In addition, for every 500 tickets sold, one tree will be planted at the zoo: seedlings will be purchased in advance to be planted in the spring in the spring when the weather is stable and stable. Thanks to this, everyone who comes to the New Year trees at the zoo will be involved in landscaping the capital and improving the environment. This initiative was supported by the French company LINAGORA, the largest producer of Open Source solutions.
There are three performances in the zoo’s holiday poster: “The Magic Story of the Brave Hare that Saved the New Year”, “New Year in the Underwater Kingdom” and “A Gift for Santa Claus”. All performances will appeal to even the most sophisticated young spectators and at the same time adults will not be bored. Each of the productions has its own exciting plot and unique characters, but they are united by a common theme - the diversity and beauty of the animal world.
In the play “The Magic Story of the Brave Hare that Saved the New Year”, spectators will meet face-to-face with the main villain of all Russian fairy tales, Baba Yaga. Together with the brave inhabitants of the winter forest, they will go to the ends of the world to save the spirit of the New Year and believe that true friendship and courage can cope with any difficulties.
The adventures of the guests of the zoo will continue in the bewitching production of “New Year in the Underwater Kingdom” . Spectators will be immersed in the icy sea waves where Neptune reigns, as well as a meeting with the amazing inhabitants of the water element - moray eels, dolphins, crabs and many others.
The youngest spectators (from the age of 3 years) will have an unforgettable meeting with Santa Claus , a trip to hot Africa, acquaintance with lions, zebras, giraffes, elephants, as well as an exciting search for a suitable gift for the main wizard of our country. All this in a colorful and melodic musical format.
The Zoo-Yolki project at the Moscow Zoo not only has a special New Year’s magic and sets its guests in a festive mood, but also cares about the environment: all the scenery for the performances is made of environmentally friendly materials, and the use of plastic is minimized. In particular, a live spruce will decorate the stage, which, after the completion of the project, will be planted in the zoo. All the lighting and illuminations used in the performances are provided by Westwing and are energy-saving, which is also of considerable importance for the protection of the environment.
One of the partners of Zoo-Yolok is the Transport Department, so the owners of Troika cards will be able to purchase tickets for the performance with a 20% discount. You can buy them at the box office of the zoo, as well as online on the project website www.zooelka.ru .
