The exhibition “Trace” of 20 works includes animal sculptures of Victor and a collection of Vasilisa from the series “Techno - Organic Objects”.
“The trace is evidence of existence.” The image is revealed, but unknown. An image revealed through sensations, through feelings and thoughts. The trace is penetration deep into matter. An opportunity to imagine in your imagination your story of the birth of the image, - tells the author and organizer of the exhibition Vasilisa Lipatova.
Note that copies of the sculptures of the authors are in private collections in Russia and abroad, and one of the works is presented in the collection of the Darwin Museum. Another sculptural composition "Steering Wheel" - a joint work of the couple in 2013, was installed in the Moscow Park of Culture and Leisure "Fili".
On the opening day, guests of the evening will get acquainted with sculptors who will conduct a tour of the exhibition and talk about the process of birth of images. In addition, those present will be able to touch the culture of Buryatia - the birthplace of Victor Erdneyev: the program of the event will involve national artists, a small exhibition of photographs from the shores of Lake Baikal, as well as a short film about the republic.
Those who wish can take part in a mini auction.
The exhibition runs until November 8th.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Victor’s animalistic works are a trace of the wild nature: forests, rivers, taiga, steppes, deserts, savannahs. In his works, the author seeks to convey not anatomical accuracy, but to find the essence of his nature in the image of an animal. Sharp, accurately reveal the versatility of the living world, plastically depict the elements. Bronze sculptures live in their own separate space.
Victor Erdineev creates his own language, forming a space of sculpture in which nature, while remaining beautiful and bewitching, can be both harsh and impregnable. The author’s collection includes giraffes swimming in concentrated gold, hot air - an image of a hot, unsteady savannah; flying in the wind, reduced to a single point of support, barely touching the ground of the horse - the image of the free wind of the steppes; tense and aggravated in shape, hungry wolves drowning in marble snow - the image of the impregnable, severe taiga in the work "Trace".
Vasilisa’s works presented at the exhibition - a series of “Techno-BIO objects” - research and search for common points of contact between a living natural form and mechanical structure. Technologies and mechanisms have long been inseparable from our lives. We are unlikely to survive in a world without electricity and cars.
The traditional view of the future of man in the world of machines is apocalyptic, gloomy and severe. The artist looks at this future as the possibility of the emergence of new forms - techno - bio objects, single organisms of the era of technological progress.
These works are a trace of the invented civilization of the future. Choosing our own direction in life, our own business, studying the experience of the past and shaping the image of the future, each of us wants the work and life lived in vain, everyone wants to leave their mark.
