On January 20, the exhibition "Family Album: Natalia, Arkady, Anton Lodyanov" opens in the Main Museum Building (Lenin St., 5). The exposition includes more than 150 works of the creative family: drawings and paintings by Anton Lodyanov, works of arts and crafts and jewelry by Natalia and Arkady Lodyanov, as well as a portrait gallery of famous people of Irkutsk by Arkady Lodyanov. The exhibition is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Natalia and Arkady Lodyanov and the 50th anniversary of Anton Lodyanov.
Arkady and Natalia Lodyanov are Honored Artists of the Russian Federation. Both graduated from the Irkutsk Art College. Having mastered various techniques for processing jade, lapis lazuli, charoite, Arkady and Natalia Lodyanovs became leading artists in the field of stone-cutting and jewelry art. In the 2010s, they engaged in artistic bronze casting and over the past decade have created more than two dozen medals, plaque reliefs, bas-reliefs, medallion portrait compositions made of bronze and polymer resins with images of iconic artists and writers of Irkutsk. In recent years, Arkady Lodyanov has paid the most attention to the creation of graphic portraits of his contemporaries: monumental in their decision, filled with soft graphic materials (charcoal, sanguine, sepia), these works will also be presented in the exhibition.
The son of a creative couple, Anton Lodyanov (1972–2005), an artist, graphic artist, illustrator, who also graduated from the Irkutsk Art College, unfortunately, passed away early, but managed to leave a significant artistic legacy. The exhibition presents about 30 works of the author. The world of Anton Lodyanov’s characters is full of irony and a sense of kindness. The artist’s drawings are narrative, full of interesting details and details.
