Natural giftedness, the home environment initially created the prerequisites and conditions for Konstantin’s choice of his life credo. He successfully completed his studies at the Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after Vasily Ivanovich Surikov, having received thorough professional training. Then he completed an internship in Germany, at the Academy of Arts in Karlsruhe, and finally completed his studies at the creative workshops of the Russian Academy of Arts and became a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia.

Konstantin Petrov early declared himself as an original master, with his own imaginative vision and pictorial language. Even then, his aesthetic preferences and expressive features of the palette developed. He is actively involved in the most prestigious art exhibitions, becoming a prominent figure in the creative environment.

Konstantin Petrov spent several years in Spain, where he also learned a lot. Here his horizons broadened, a great freedom of expression appeared, collectors, gallery owners and museums began to acquire works of the artist, personal exhibitions of works by the young master were organized. The European experience gained by him in Germany and Spain allows him, without breaking away from the traditions of the national art school, to more strictly and selectively relate to his creative work. He tries himself in different techniques, types of art genres, giving preference to easel forms, unique graphics and paintings. The artist’s favorite materials are watercolor and pastel, in which he feels most relaxed, easy and free.
