On April 27 at 15-00 in the Kaluga Museum of Fine Arts (Lenin St., 103, the Red Hall), the opening ceremony of the “Give People Beauty” exhibition by Vazha Okitashvili, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, will take place.
About creativity.
The art world of Vazha Okitashvili is a world of views, points of view and emotions. He creates his world, giving birth to the aesthetic integrity of creativity. V. Okitashvili’s style is close to what they call “naive art”, rooted in the work of his outstanding compatriot Niko Pirosmani. But just like in Pirosmani, this so-called "naivety" is very wise, which is why it becomes art. “A free, modest, incredibly charming and informative person looks at us from his paintings…”, this is how Andrei Zolotoe, a member of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts, described Vazha Okitashvili’s work. “Georgia is a multi-colored oasis surrounded by greenery, and in it imaginary, densely scattered houses in the form of colored squares are a symbol of the crowded Georgian villages… its palette creates a synthesis of the brightest colors and evokes a sense of naturalness,” as Russian and Russian write about it foreign media. His work is creativity without coercion; it is a special form of involvement with the world - a measure of one’s own openness. Vazha Okitashvili “sings” Georgia - this “song” without words, but it is understandable and close to everyone - here everyone can find for themselves something familiar, close…
