“Aqua omnia sunt / Water is everything” is an exhibition whose goal is to focus the public on the importance of water as the main life resource that has influenced the cultural and historical development of Russia in the context of traditional and contemporary art practices. The exposition presents paintings, graphics, photos, objects and videos from already established masters and novice artists.
The role of water in the modern world is described by photographs of the “Fund for the Promotion of Lake Baikal Conservation” the historical canvases of Vyacheslav Nazaruk, Valery Arkhipov, Vitaliy Ermolaev, Svetlana Starodubtseva and other contemporary authors, as well as young artists who are members of the ART-Generation association, tell about this element in Russian culture, traditions, mythology and folklore.
An educational program will be held as part of the exhibition, including lectures, film screenings, master classes, and presentations. The exposition will demonstrate interactive 3D films of the Coral Reef Research and Education Center.
