On March 10, the Gallery of Siberian Art (Karl Marx Street, 23) opens a personal exhibition of the Irkutsk artist Vladimir Maksimov "Co-creation". The exposition includes about forty works of recent years: painting, ceramics, jewelry plastic.
Vladimir Maksimov was born in the Kurgan region, graduated from the arts and crafts department of the Krasnoyarsk Art Institute. Member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 2000. For many years he worked in the field of artistic ceramics and only in 1995 he turned to easel painting. The basis of the author’s pictorial style is the interaction of different types of art. Therefore, many of the artist’s works are symbolist in content and mosaic in pictorial execution. The common denominator for them is the decorative beginning, reflected in the texture of the pictorial surface, special attention to the volume of the colorful stroke in color reflections. Since 2017, jewelry plastic has become a new direction in the creative life of Vladimir Maksimov - as a reflection of artistic vision in three dimensions.
According to the author, creativity for him is a way to return to a fairy tale, where the most valuable information about the world around is encoded in a concentrated form. His works are filled with bright, positive, full of life and at the same time mysterious images.
The artist has more than 80 exhibitions, including 16 personal exhibitions in Russian cities (Irkutsk, Omsk, Khanty-Mansiysk, Moscow, Novosibirsk, etc.), as well as abroad (London and Zurich). The works of Vladimir Maksimov are kept in museums and private collections in Russia.
