Since May 28, 2020, the National Art Gallery of the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan (Kazan, the Kremlin, the Khazine NHC, 3rd entrance) presents an exhibition of paintings and drawings by Rashit Askhatovich Safiullin (Magnitogorsk)
Safiullin Rashit Askhatovich (1948–2018) - Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, who for more than ten years headed the Magnitogorsk VTOO “Union of Russian Artists”.
In 1975, he graduated from the art and graphic department of the Magnitogorsk State Pedagogical Institute and was invited to work at the department of painting. Forty years of life were given to the hudgraf. Rashit Askhatovich was able to organically combine the gift of the painter with the talent of a teacher. He taught painting, drawing, composition, was the organizer of open-air practices, exhibitions, supervised theses. Honorary Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences.
The central genre in the work of R. Safiullin is landscape: picturesque, colorful, emotional. A frequent motive is his favorite Ural nature: with mountains and lakes, churches and villages. Fine plastic work, flair, a special degree of stylization are the “face”, manner, style of the master.
“… Nizhny Tagil residents have their own language, a powerful school, and strong colors. And Rashit, despite this influence, still has his own vision: the palette is restrained, chamber, it is laconic, I would say - more aesthetics. You can enlarge, reduce the picture, and it won’t get lost from it… "(Magnitogorsk collector Vladimir Mironov)
The exhibition presents works by the artist from private collections: landscapes, still lifes, portraits.
