Alik Yakubovich - photographer, poet, member of the Union of Photo Artists of Russia. On his account, not one dozen photo exhibitions and cultural projects. His personal exhibitions took place in Russia, France, England, USA, Japan, Germany, Israel and other countries. Since 2002, Yakubovich has been working in the genre of social reporting, mostly with black and white photography. He is the author of sensational projects «Black and white love», «Strange people», «Chkalov ladder», as well as «The reverse side of striptease», «The boys» and «Is it easy to be young?». He is the author of six books in the genre of acoustic photography.
Work on the project «Workshop» lasted about six years. To capture the places of creative solitude of contemporary famous artists and sculptors, Alik Yakubovich visited various parts of the country: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Sviyazhsk, Zvenigorod and other cities. The photographer was looking for Russia not just a room for work, but special sacral spaces.
The author himself says: «... I came to the artists - this is my space in which I lived all my life... That’s where I see how people live without a computer, how they really create something, these workshops, which I have always dreamed of, where some secrets, some, I do not know, vices are sewn up. This is my space... «.
At the exhibition in «Khazine» it will be possible to see about forty photographs of the process of the creation of the artists Rashit Safiullin, Ilgizar Hasanov, Rashid Tukhvatullin, Viktor Timofeev, Irina Vasilyeva, Oleg Vdovin, Sergei Ledkov, Asi Feoktistova, Alexander Lavrov, sculptors Vyacheslav Potapin and Vladimir Kokurin.
The exhibition will run until September 18, 2017.
