November 3, 2015 in Russia for the second time will host the cultural and educational action "Night of the Arts." It is held on the eve of November 4 - National Unity Day.
On November 3, until late evening and even at night, the doors of museums, galleries, art centers, theaters, concert venues and other cultural institutions will be open to all comers. Thousands of interesting events for people with the most diverse cultural needs will be held across the country. The main goal of this action is to unite different areas of culture and to introduce to them all who aspire to this.
The Kaluga Museum of Fine Arts will not remain aloof from this process and will offer visitors a varied evening program. On this day, November 3, 2015, we will work from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Celebrations will be held at two museum sites.
In the main building (Bilibin estate; 104 Lenin St.) you can visit the permanent exhibition of the museum; Foundations for open storage of arts and crafts; see the exhibition of one picture of our fellow countryman Afanasy Kulikov "Alexander Nevsky", open for the anniversary of the artist.
Parents with children are invited to take part in the museum cognitive quest game "Traveling with Az-art", dedicated to the Year of Literature in Russia. All travelers will receive souvenirs from the museum. The game will be available from 10 to 17 hours.
From 18 o’clock in our halls every 40 minutes unusual musical excursions will be held. What connects painting and music? What musical instruments sounded in old estates? Whose contemporaries in music were the great painters Levitsky, Tropinin, Korovin? You will learn about this by visiting our halls from 18 to 22 hours. The musical series is represented by teachers and students of the Children’s Art School No. 1 named after N.P. Rakova, Kaluga.
In the Information, Educational and Exhibition Center (IWEC; Lenin St., 103), an equally exciting program has been prepared. Three exhibitions will work from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The collective exhibition “Picturesque Mosaic” presents the work of seven contemporary Moscow artists (blue hall).
You will be able to admire the white-blue magnificence of the famous Gzhel porcelain at the exhibition of the member of the Union of Artists of Russia Irina Korshunova “Gzhel: scales of inspiration”, which presents not only dishes, but also… dresses decorated in the style of the famous craft. An exhibition and sale of souvenirs from Gzhel (second floor) will work.
In the red hall, the paintings of the artist George Tovmasyan are fascinated by the landscapes of his distant homeland - Armenia.
But lovers of modern technologies are invited to take part in the SELFI-VOICE campaign and to identify the painting that, in your opinion, is worth getting into the museum’s funds at the “Picturesque Mosaic” and “Painting by Georgy Tovmasyan” exhibitions. If your opinion coincides with the opinion of museum experts - get a prize: a free ticket for
2016 Christmas excursions to our museum. See the details of the SELF-VOICE campaign on the museum’s website and on our social media page.
