On February 13, the School of Watercolor Sergey Andriyaka invites everyone to an open door day. In the program: a meeting with a pedagogical team, master classes, trial lessons, excursions, a lecture and a quiz.
In the heart of Moscow is a beautiful old mansion, built in 1889 by the architect MK Geppener for the Lutheran orphanage. At the end of the XX century the building was reconstructed and handed over by the decision of the Moscow Government School of watercolors by Sergey Andriyaka.
The artistic director of the School S.N. Andriyaka has developed a unique method of teaching art of watercolors for children and adults, which consists in the fact that the artist-teacher works simultaneously with students on a single story. Together they go through all the stages - from a pencil sketch to a finished work. A personal example is the most convincing and shortest way of learning. This technique allows you to teach a person to paint with watercolor, regardless of his original giftedness.
The curriculum is designed for five years. In the School they study drawing and painting with watercolor, classes on etching, painting on porcelain and ceramics, monumental painting in the interior, history of fine arts are held.
Next to the Master in the School works a spiritually close creative team of talented artists, experienced teachers who perfectly master the academic technique of watercolor painting and are ready to generously share their knowledge with students. Each of them is an independent, actively working artist, participant of many exhibitions, various creative programs in Russia and abroad. Artistic director of the School is constantly engaged with teachers, revealing the secrets of watercolor skills.
In the halls of the Museum and Exhibition Complex there are exhibitions of masterpieces of graphics and watercolors from the XVII-XIX centuries from collections of leading Russian museums, exhibitions of contemporary artists, including artists of the School of Watercolor.
February 13, 2016 School of Watercolor Sergei Andriyaka holds an Open Day. Everyone who came to the festival will get to the magic «kingdom», where landscapes and still lifes, portraits and interiors are made in the technique of light, airy, water-saturated watercolor. During the trial lessons, they will turn into real artists and, under the guidance of a professional, write the first, perhaps, watercolor in their life. They will see with their own eyes how the work of art is born: the artists will hold master classes for the audience. On a tour of the School will get acquainted with the works of the People’s Artist of Russia SN Andriyaka, teachers and pupils of the School. Learn what you need to be able to learn in the School of Watercolor. And they will take part in the quiz «Do You Know the Masterpieces of World Fine Art?» And will listen to the lecture «The Female Image in Art from Antiquity to Our Days». In addition, they will have a unique opportunity to visit the exhibition «The attraction of realism. Modern artists «, which at this time takes place in the halls of the replaceable collections of the Museum-Exhibition Complex of the School.
The open day at the School of Watercolor will be held on February 13, 2015 from 11.00 to 17.00.
