Even not quite summer weather did not prevent the meeting of residents of Arkhangelsk with the participants of the International Forum, which brought together street theater artists for the 23rd time. They came to Arkhangelsk to share with the city the joy that they receive from their work. The time of white nights approaching this time in the capital of Pomerania allows guests who have arrived both from Russian cities and from other countries to show their skills almost non-stop.

Not too much time was allotted for the theater festival - its opening took place on June 19, and after only a week the festival participants will say goodbye to their fans and to each other. This year, 12 theaters representing France, Denmark, Argentina and Colombia participated in the forums.

Opened with a festive procession along the traditional route along the Northern Dvina embankment, the theater forum will show 70 plays to the Arkhangelsk theater-goers. On the opening day, the first performance of the extensive festival program took place. It was shown by the "old-timers" of the festival - the artists of the Batida Theater, who arrived in Arkhangelsk from Denmark.

They visited the capital of Pomerania in 1990, when the city hosted the very first festival, which brought together street performers. This year, artists from Denmark brought their new work, the newly created musical performance Hallelujah. In the form of pantomime, they told the audience a story about bank employees, where an anonymous premise arrived that radically changed their lives.

The group AAINJAA, which includes drummers and dancers, first came to Arkhangelsk from the city of Bogota - the capital of Colombia. They will share incendiary rhythms and dances in the performance of Hola with the audience. The festival of theaters will reign throughout the week.
