The incendiary Spanish motifs of “The Marriage of Figaro,” staged last season by Vladimir Mirzoyev, sounded. Then, the young artists read poems by Yevgeny Simonov, a former theater artistic director. Vakhtangov celebrated his ninetieth anniversary last season.
Another important date was not forgotten - on the stage, accompanied by students, appeared Evgeny Knyazev, the rector of the Shchukinsky school, celebrating its 100th anniversary. When the audience saw the idol of several generations of Vasily Lanovoy, then a storm of applause did not allow the artist to immediately begin his performance.
Lanovoy read Pushkin’s poems, and the song performed by the People’s Artist from the movie “Officers” ended with enthusiastic applause from the audience. After the end of "Eugene Onegin", to the sound of deafening applause, its participants took to the street stage. Headed by artists Rimas Tuminas.
A new, anniversary season will begin on September 14th.
