LIPETSK. On the initiative of the Lipetsk branch of the STD of Russia in the region on March 11 begins the festival competition "In the mirror of the stage." Four regional theaters take part in the theater forum. Each of them will present their best performances, which premiered in 2014. All competitive screenings will take place on the stages of the theaters where the performances were staged.

The festival “In the mirror of the stage” is being held in the region for the second time, confirming that the cultural life of the Lipetsk region is at a high level. In the previous year alone, four professional theaters in the region presented 21 premieres. Among them are 8 productions intended for the young generation of theatergoers.

Theater festivals of any rank provide an opportunity to get acquainted with the work of groups not only in their region, but also theaters of other cities of the country. Last year, thanks to the Lipetsk branch of the STD, several theater forums took place in the region. The Lipetsk Theater Meetings and the Golden Mask in Lipetsk took place. Festival “Korenevschino. Pushkin Sources ”brought together professional puppet theaters, presenting performances of classical works.

Within the framework of the opening festival, each of the participating theaters will show the audience two performances within five days. The winners will receive awards in several categories. The best performers of male and female roles will be determined, the best directorial work will be named and the best debut will be awarded. The collective who presented the best performance intended for young spectators will not pass over the best performer of the supporting role. One of the performances will be called the “Event of the Year”.

The results of the competition “In the mirror of the stage” will be announced on Theater Day.
