PERMIAN. In the repertoire of the Youth Theater a new performance appeared, staged by a young director from Krasnodar Alexander Nikolaev. It was based on the screenplay "How I Became…" written by the Yekaterinburg author Yaroslav Pulinovich, a popular writer in contemporary drama. Translated by the director of the script into theatrical language, he received the name "Listen to how the elves sing."

Alexander Nikolaev said that this performance appeared on the stage of the Youth Theater thanks to the laboratory “Conversation on an equal footing”, which became part of the Open Doors project last year. Young directors showed sketches of performances in May last year. Among them was a sketch prepared by the script by Pulinovich Alexander Nikolaev. Based on the results of the audience’s vote, this work was accepted for production.

On March 20, a young Krasnodar director presented the results of his work to the public. Alexander Nikolaev noted that the work on the play was not easy - it was difficult to set up a movie script, given the specifics of the scene. However, Pulinovich in his works knows how to talk with youth on an equal footing, this was the main reason the director addressed this material.

Viewers saw the story of a young man trying to understand what was most important for him - passionate love or the opportunity to create. The dramatic situation developing in the plot of the play becomes a tragedy not only of the main characters of the play, but also of everyone entering Sasha’s life who is on the verge of an “adult” life.

He will not only have to make a choice between the girls who entered his life, but also to understand whether love exists. Youthful love can lead to betrayal, an accidental encounter can become a real life tragedy. Growing up is not easy for the hero.
