In the Ryazan Drama Theater, the audience was presented with the performance "Solaris" Automatic translate
KNITTING. Director Maxim Larin on February 18 presented his new work on the Small Stage of the Ryazan Drama Theater - the play “Solaris”. Most of the viewers are familiar with this outstanding work of Stanislav Lem. Even those of them who were not too keen on science fiction could not get past the films made by famous film directors from Lem’s book.
In Russia, the adaptation of Solaris, created in 1972 by Andrei Tarkovsky, was widely known. Thirty years later, Stephen Soderbergh turned to a fantastic drama, writing a script for the film together with Stanislav Lem. The film by the American director appeared on the screen in 2002. However, Lem was not completely satisfied with any of the adaptations.
It should be noted the courage of Maxim Larin, who took up the staging of the play, so unusual for the theater theme. At the discussion of the play, which took place after the pre-premiere show, he admitted that before starting work he removed from the work everything that seemed to him “superfluous”. There are no scientific theories in the staging, no description of the cosmos. As a result, a play appeared consisting of 25 pages telling about the drama experienced by the main character.
In “Solaris”, staged by Maxim involved only four actors, and the scenery is a brilliant metal structure. This is not an image of the space station where the production takes place, but it gives the opportunity to think about the space world.
After the pre-premiere show, one of the spectators spoke of what was happening on the stage as a crazy house flying over a rational planet. However, Mikhail Larin retorted this remark, saying that the madhouse turned out to be bright and emotional. The director added that he was pleased with the result.
