VORONEZH. It’s almost four months before the start of the Platonov Festival, however, fans of theatrical art are waiting - what interesting are its organizers preparing for them? For the most impatient artistic artists of the festival, Mikhail Bychkov held a meeting on February 12 with representatives of the press, where he voiced the theater program of the Platonov Festival.

So far, we can definitely talk about 13 performances, whose participation in the program is guaranteed, that is, the arrival of groups to the festival is agreed with their leaders. At the end of February, the sale of tickets for festival events will begin. While it is expected that 29 shows of the announced performances will take place, however, the number of participants may increase, as several projects are still being negotiated.

It is known that the theater program of the Platonov Festival will be opened by the joint work of the Tbilisi Drama Theater and the collective from Italy. The play “Notes of a Madman,” directed by Gogol’s director Levan Tsuladze. The Russian premiere of this production will take place on June 3-4 in the drama named after Koltsova.

This year, theaters from ten countries will participate in the Platonov Festival. Mikhail Bychkov said that the audience will get acquainted with the art of Taiwan - the artists of the Cloud Gate dance theater will bring the performance “Rice”. According to Bychkov, who saw the production, this is an impressive sight. Since the theater is coming to Russia for the first time, the performance “Rice” will also be the Russian premiere.

In the festival program, the performance “Do not forget me” is announced - the production of the director from France, Philippe Genti. This is a very expensive project, so seeing it in Voronezh is a rare opportunity for viewers.
