This award from the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation was established in 1994. At the same time, it became the birth year of the festival of the same name, where the theaters of various Russian cities present their best performances.

Although the festival was already twenty years old, only now for the first time three well-known theaters have arrived in Arkhangelsk to bring works awarded the Golden Mask in different years. Fans of theatrical art got acquainted with the work of the actors and directors of the RAMT theater, who have already shown the audience two performances intended for small theater-goers.

The first performance was a production based on the work of Kipling, in which the artists told the story of a cat walking on its own. The next day, the production of “Fearless gentleman” was presented, in which the work of Alexander Afanasyev was used.

"Theatre. doc ”, famous for his experiments, showed the play“ Light My Fire ”. This performance was a participant in the Golden Mask in 2012 and received an award for the best experimental production. These are studies on the life of famous composers of our time.

The conclusion of the tour meetings will be the play staged by the director Lev Dodin - “Uncle Vanya”.
