Chekhov and Aristophanes in the play "Heavenly Wanderers" at the Lenkom Theater Automatic translate
MOSCOW. On the stage of the Lenkom Theater, they presented the audience with a premiere performance created by Mark Zakharov. The play “Heavenly Wanderers” was based on the works of Anton Chekhov and the ancient Greek author of comedies Aristophanes. The content of the play is a parable, as the author himself determined the production genre, Mark Zakharov worked long and carefully. In translation into the stage language, he combined several well-known Chekhov stories with fragments of the comedy “Birds”, added his unique humor, and the performance finally appeared on the poster of Lenkom.
Already in the first minutes of the performance, the audience felt the famous irony of Mark Zakharov, which they already missed. It would seem that the time and proposed circumstances were invented, but the associations with what is happening today are obvious.
The performance begins with the appearance on the stage of birds from the Aristophanes comedy with his master. It is with the order of Tsar Udod, the head of the birds, who sent his subjects to the earth, the events of the production begin.
The purpose of the aliens was to rule over people, only to get it into their own hands was to be imperceptibly, without using force methods. The first participants and at the same time victims were the heroes of Chekhov’s stories. It is interesting that through the efforts of Mark Zakharov, Chekhov’s heroes have noticeably changed - some have received detailed biographies, and some have united several characters.
The role of Dr. Dymov in the play was played by Alexander Baluev, known for his film roles. One of the leading theater actresses, Alexander Zakharov, became the heroine of the "Jumpers", Olga Ivanovna. On the stage, the audience saw some of the famous Lenkom actors - Viktor Rakov, Anna Yakunin, Ivan Agapov. In the role of the lord of the birds, Tsar Udoda - Sergey Dyachkovsky.
