An exhibition of the work of the artist Sergei Dilaktorsky and his contemporaries at the School of Watercolor Automatic translate
MOSCOW. A unique exhibition is opened at the Andriyaka School of Watercolor, where guests of the museum complex will be able to get acquainted with the work of Sergei Dilaktorsky, a talented watercolor artist. The name of the Vologda artist, gifted with outstanding talent, until recently was familiar only to art critics.
The exhibition organized at the watercolor school, the materials for which was provided by the Vologda Art Gallery and Moscow collector Alexei Egorov, for the majority of visitors to the museum complex was the discovery of a new name for the artist. His creative heritage is first presented on such a scale.
At the opening of the exhibition, Sergey Andriyaka noted that during the functioning of the school in its museum there were many exhibitions, the exhibits for which are provided by Russian museums from their collections. However, they did not turn into ordinary activities. Each of the opening exhibitions becomes a shock and revelation.
The exhibition also includes works by contemporaries of Sergey Dilaktorsky - famous masters of painting, whose works are created in the tradition of the Russian school of landscape. The second half of the 19th century became the time of the heyday of the landscape genre. Among the landscapes presented at the exhibition, paintings created by prominent representatives of the academic direction of painting - Lev Lagorio, Vladimir Orlovsky, and Julius Clover stand out.
In realistic landscapes included in the exhibition, canvases are often found where the influence of impressionism is obvious. A vivid example of such works are landscapes painted by K. Korovin and I. Grabar. All these paintings also arrived in the capital from Vologda. It is even more interesting to see the work of little-known artists born in the Vologda region, who wrote the North and the Arctic.
