The artist selected for the exhibition about one hundred and thirty works made in different years. However, the order of their placement in the exposition was not determined by the date of creation of the paintings and graphic sheets. When designing the exhibition, the proximity of the themes of the works, as well as the commonality of their styles, was used.

Alexander Novik, creating new works, often returns to his favorite images. Therefore, in the exposition you can see a whole gallery of female images written in the same style. You might think that they were completed at the same time, however, the dates of their creation are shared by decades.

The artist’s works are diverse in genres, themes, and manner of writing, however, no matter what Novik writes, the author’s style is always recognizable in his works. This is especially noticeable when his work is collected in a single exhibition space. Abstract works, reflecting with the help of geometric shapes and colors the artist’s impressions of the landscapes seen, coexist with landscapes made in a realistic manner.
