Birobidzhan. The City Museum of Modern Art continues to hold exhibitions dedicated to the anniversary of the region. The new exposition of the museum, which opened under the name “Jewish Motives”, united in a single space artists working in various styles of pictorial and graphic art living in Jewish autonomy. The guests who arrived from other Russian cities also presented their work.
Particular attention of visitors was attracted by works belonging to the artist S. Tolmachev. Two works performed in a complex technique - monotype, are included in the series "Jewish Thread". In total, for this series, the artist created ten similar works
Another work of S. Tolmachev - the painting "Birobidzhan", belongs to the series "Urban still lifes". Thanks to carefully drawn details, it is noticeably different from other works of the artist. Against the background of well-recognizable places of the city, plots of peaceful life intertwined with the memory of military glory.
Gouache and acrylic, used by Vladislav Tsap in their works, give rise to bright, colorful scenes from Jewish life. His works in Birobidzhan have long become classics.
Krasnoyarsk author Oleg Frier draws his small paintings with crayons and felt-tip pens. The subjects of his drawings are created in the style of minimalism, the size of his paintings is no more than a sheet of a notebook, however, the artist fits on them both biblical subjects and dialogues full of humor.
The painting, written by Lyubov Pomiluyko, was made with ordinary helium pens. The artist called the work - "We live on the border." She depicted village life on the banks of the Amur.
The creation of the exhibition "Jewish Motives " became possible thanks to the grant received by the museum, intended for the implementation of projects intended for the development of cultural and educational tourism.
