Igor Dryomin:
Tatyana Nazarenko’s PARTY exhibition at the YuVS art gallery Automatic translate
On December 11, the opening of the PARTY exhibition by the outstanding artist Tatyana Nazarenko was held at the YuVS art gallery.
Already in the early 1970s, Tatyana Nazarenko entered the history of Russian art. Her work is marked by the independence of her artistic style and the unique personality of the interpretation of the portrait, as well as memorable experiments with artistic decisions. Her constant ability to update themes, the plastic language of painting, finding new subjects have a beneficial effect on the artistic process. Nazarenko devotes entire cycles to some of his themes, addressing them many times and continuing to conceptualize the images throughout his career.
For the PARTY exhibition, the artist wrote three new works: A Woman with Gold Coins, Women with a Dog, and Women on a Masquerade. The exhibition includes well-known art objects - "tricks". All the works presented at the exhibition, curators Elena Nashikyan and Peter Baranov, united the theme of the holidays. The exhibition will last until the end of January, and as you know, December and January is a time of general festivities, carnivals and masquerades around the world and, of course, one of the most important holidays of the year - New Year and Christmas.
The YuVS Gallery is the result of a creative union between the artist Georgy Yuves and the gallery owner Elena Nashikyan. The opening of the gallery and the first exhibition of one of the most famous Russian artists in the world, Natalia Nesterova, took place in September 2014. Nesterova has a bright expressive pictorial language that is easily recognizable. The artist creates a complex colorful surface where dense layers of painting sometimes turn into relief, go beyond the scope of work, live their own separate lives. Thanks to this technique, the images of some objects “come to life” on the canvas, become objective and tangible.
Throughout this exhibition year, the UVS Gallery promises to delight its visitors with interesting and vibrant projects and no less famous names of prominent contemporary artists.
