The exhibition was organized based on the results of the experimental creative workshop of the Volga branch of the Russian Academy of Arts and the Creative Union of Russian Artists.
The head of the workshops for PAX and TSHR - Konstantin Khudyakov.
The curators of the project are Vladimir Safonov and Sergey Krasnov (Ufa).
Participants are scholars of the Ministry of Culture of Russia.
26 artists take part in the project: 11 of them represent the city of Oktyabrsky (Nikolai Zaitsev, Olga Kirsanova, Ilgiz Nizamov, Vasily Polushkin, Alyona Savelyeva, Vladimir Safonov, Taslima Khasanova, Rafil Khusainov, Olga Cherny-Tkach, Irina Shayakhmetova, Guzelia Shemberger), 7 people - Ufa, there are also representatives from Yekaterinburg, Sterlitamak, Salavat, Belebey, Birsk, the village of Karaidel and the village of Urusssu (Tatarstan). Among them there are masters well known outside the republic, and quite young, but recognizable
The curators selected 66 works for the project. The exhibition features painting, graphics, art photo, digital art.
The artists invited to the project were asked to refrain from traditional images of Bashkir art of the last decades - such as national and epic heroes, kuraists and the Ural mountains, Bashkir honey and oil, focusing their work on creating their own fleeting, fragmented, sometimes even illusory world. Present, today’s world around us - these are the main topics of the project "BASH on BASH".
“Bash on bash” is a phraseological unit meaning equivalent exchange. “Bash” - in translation from Turkic “head”. At the same time, Bash is a team interactive processor used in programming. As you know, computer technology today is successfully used in contemporary art. And finally, “Bash” and “Bash” are widespread media abbreviations and symbols that emphasize the affiliation of a resource to the Republic of Bashkortostan.
In Ufa, the exhibition was exhibited at the Clouds Contemporary Art Center in December 2016 - January 2017 and gathered a lot of positive reviews. It is interesting how colleagues and the metropolitan audience will perceive the project of Bashkir artists.
In Moscow, the exhibition "BASH on BASH" is open for visitors from February 8 to 20 during the opening hours of the Lavrushinsky 15 hall: Mon-Fri 12.30 - 18.00, Sat-Sun - day off.
