On November 14, Moscow opened a new unique exhibition space, the “Center for the Arts”, created with the participation of the grandson of Muse Salvador Dali, Gala. Thanks to the latest technology, a hologram synergy is created in the museum - a combination of visual, kinetic, sound and intellectual perception of classical works of art.
The opening of the “Center for the Arts” was marked by a landmark and exhibition of Russian fine art by the greatest masters of the past: “Artistic Treasures of Russia”. The concentration of masterpieces per square meter is so high that the exhibition promises to be not only a noticeable cultural event in the capital, but also a personal shock for even the most sophisticated audience. In addition, these paintings have never been exhibited in museums and have not been shown to the general public.
The exhibition is supported by the Fund of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, as well as the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Department of Media and Advertising of the city of Moscow, the Department of National Policy, interregional relations and tourism of the city of Moscow, the Department of Culture of the city of Moscow. The curator of the exhibition is Andrian Melnikov, collector, gallery owner, member of the International Confederation of Antiques and Art Dealers
(CINO A).
The exposition of the exhibition “Artistic Treasures of Russia: from icons to modern art. The best of Russian collections ”is truly unique. Collectors, experts and connoisseurs of art have come together for a large-scale and noble project.
For many years, the canvases of the greatest Russian masters were carefully hidden from prying eyes, since historical cataclysms followed one after another: World War I, revolution, emigration, repression, World War II, unstable times. Now, at the time of the exhibition, masterpieces will finally come out of the shadows, and visitors will have a unique opportunity to contemplate such a valuable collection.
The title of the exhibition - “Artistic Treasures of Russia” - refers to one of the largest periodicals of the past dedicated to Russian art. The magazine of the same name was published before the revolution at the initiative of the Imperial Society for the Encouragement of Artists. The most prominent representatives of the culture of that time, writers, artists and philanthropists united to publish the magazine. They proclaimed as their goal the revival of interest in the heritage of old Russian masters, the development of artistic culture and the attraction of the masses to the sphere of art.
After more than a hundred years, the circle of Russian collectors continued the work of artistic and educational associations at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries, interrupted by historical events.
More than three hundred exhibits await the audience, including not the most famous canvases by the most famous artists: Vasnetsov, Nesterov, Shishkin, Levitan, Kuindzhi, Aivazovsky, Petrov-Vodkin. No doubt, the luxuries of the interior belonged to representatives of the imperial family and brilliant noble families, treasured and handed down from generation to generation, as well as precious icons that, after almost a century of wandering, returned home to appear before the public in all its splendor..
Of course, the exhibition is able to surprise both the uninitiated and the sophisticated audience. Thanks to the non-academic approach to the demonstration of academic exhibits, the exhibition space does not look like a museum at all. The grandson of the muses of Salvador Dali, Gala, designer and architect Julien Boaretto helped to make the space harmonious.
Innovative technologies, harmoniously introduced into the exposition of the exhibition, have raised the culture of contemplation of art to a new level: now both lighting and sound accompaniment of the paintings help the audience not only absorb new knowledge, but also leave the exhibition, shocked to the core.
