September 30 at 14.00 in the Siberian Art Department of the Irkutsk Regional Art Museum (Karl Marx St., 23) an exhibition of Transbaikal artists opens: Yuri Kruglov, Vladimir Pinigin and Nikolai Polyansky.
Kruglov Yu.A. Morning - BAM paper series, linocut 54.5x55
All three are united not only by their small homeland, but also by one alma mater - the Irkutsk Art School, where they completed their studies in the 1960s. At this time, an outstanding engraving master Georgy Levy, who had a huge influence on the formation of future schedules, was teaching at the school. All three perfectly mastered the art of linocut, lithography, etching.
In their work, artists in different ways reflected the themes of war and peace, the being of man and nature. Yuri Kruglov sees the beauty of the world in its most diverse, sometimes unexpected manifestations: behind the mundane, he guesses much, and in the long-established, he reveals a deep lyrical meaning. Vladimir Pinigin tells of a man of labor, his contemporary. A series of his works is known on the construction of BAM, on the life of shepherds of the Agin steppes. The work of Nikolai Polyansky is dedicated to the stay of the Decembrists in Transbaikalia, their wide educational, medical activity, and events of life in captivity.
The exhibition will run until October 25th.
