October 11 at 16.00 in the Gallery of Siberian Art (K. Marx St., 23) opens the exhibition "Transbaikalia, my Transbaikalia", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Chita branch of the Union of Artists of Russia. The exposition contains about 40 paintings and graphic works from the workshops of the Chita Union of Artists, private collections and funds of the Irkutsk Art Museum, which will acquaint Irkutsk citizens with the work of masters of Transbaikalia.
In recent years, several exhibitions of Trans-Baikal artists have taken place in the Irkutsk Art Museum. Irkutsk and Chita painters are united by many years of creative cooperation, the organization of joint exhibitions and projects.
At the anniversary exhibition, you can see the work of artists of different generations, many of whom graduated from the Irkutsk Art College. In the halls of the gallery will be presented the works of both the classics of Siberian painting (Ivan Blokhin, Vladimir Kalashnikov), and the canvases of artists of the next generations (Nikolai Orlov, Vladimir Forov, Yan Shplatov), as well as works by young artists - successors of the painting tradition that was laid down by the classics: Tatyana Ermilova, Natalia Kornet, Tatyana Lyalina. The exhibition will present all the diversity of Siberian nature in landscapes and still lifes created by artists of the Trans-Baikal Territory.
