August 12, 2017 in the gallery "On Kashirka" Association "Exhibition Halls of Moscow" opens the exhibition "Apple Paradise." The project was organized as part of the New Local History Program and is dedicated to the Year of Ecology.
The exhibition features paintings, graphics, photography and archival materials dedicated to the apple orchards of the Kolomenskoye Museum and the Nagatino-Sadovniki district. In the fall of 2015, as part of the Million Trees program, the cutting of old apple trees and the planting of young seedlings of modern selection began in the Dyakovsky Garden. The change of landscape in the historical place of Moscow did not go unnoticed. Within the framework of the project, a media archive was collected, preserving the memory of the old garden, of its charm. The aim of the project is to draw attention to the historical and cultural heritage of the city, as well as to the problem of preserving the gene pool of valuable fruit crops and varieties. The exposition includes photographs, videos, paintings, graphics, archival information, studies by local historians and stories of residents. An educational program will be held as part of the exhibition.
