From August 2 to 26, 2018, over 80 works of art by Russian authors will be presented as part of the exhibition “An Artist Thinks with a Pattern”. Among them: V.I. Andrushkevich, I.N. Vorobyova, T.N. Skorodumova, V.S. Klimashin, M.Kh. Gorshman, R.S. Boim and others.
All exhibits exhibit originality of creative design and filigree accuracy of work with the material. The high level of skill, the ability to convey deep content in a small picture, allows us to consider many works of the exhibition as wonderful examples of both graphic culture in the art of the past and the development of positive traditions in contemporary Russian art.
For example, M. Kh. Gorshman is a Soviet artist, graphic artist, and illustrator. He made illustrations for over 60 works for Detgiz, Goslitizdat and other publishers. She gained great fame as an illustrator of the works of writers and poets such as I. Babel.
And I.N. Vorobyova is known for her illustrations for books of the publishing houses "Children’s Literature", "Young Guard", "Soviet Russia", "Kid". She gained all-Russian fame thanks to engaging in printmaking.
The artists’ works are presented in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Pushkin Museum im. A.S. Pushkin, the State Central Museum of Modern History of Russia, the Central Museum of the Armed Forces of Russia, as well as abroad.
The exhibition runs until August 26, 2018.
