From 5 to 20 December 2020, an exhibition of artistic author’s dolls “Artkukla-2020. Puppetry ".
The exhibition was held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Culture "State Russian House of Folk Art named after V. D. Polenov", All-Russian public organization "Creative Union of Artists of Russia" and LLC "Workshop of Magic".
The exhibition was attended by more than 50 leading contemporary Russian puppeteer artists representing various directions of art dolls. Their works combine centuries-old traditions and the latest artistic and technological achievements of our time. The exhibition also featured unique historical specimens of dolls and toys, installations and photographs. The exhibition presented a cross-section of contemporary Russian art of artistic dolls through the works of the best Russian puppeteer artists.
The project participants invite the viewer to plunge into the world of children’s perception of reality, get acquainted with the unique art of a modern art doll, comprehend the secrets of creating a work of art, and most importantly, get another reason to look at themselves from the outside.
