After the Victory in the Great Patriotic War ended, Pavel Georgievich took an active part in the public life of Irkutsk, the Irkutsk region, in the veteran movement and patriotic education of youth. For courage and heroism shown during the years of World War II, a significant contribution to the development of the city of Irkutsk and the well-being of its population, great social and patriotic activity, he was awarded the title "Honorary Citizen of the city of Irkutsk."
