On February 14, 2017, the personal exhibition of Vladimir Deikun, a talented artist and designer who passed away in August 2016, will be presented to the public in the Gallery of Siberian Art of the Irkutsk Art Museum.
Despite the fact that the exhibition is of a memorial character, the artist’s friends preserved his author’s style in its design - ironic, including in relation to himself. In particular, the author’s image created in 2015 was used for the poster of the new exhibition. This year was a jubilee for Vladimir Deikun - he celebrated his 65th birthday.
The exhibition includes art objects, paintings, posters, tablets with corporate identity and logos. The earliest work is a self-portrait, written by the artist after graduating from the Irkutsk College of Arts in the second half of the 70s. The extensive collection of posters contains several thematic blocks: New Year, Valentine’s Day, February 23, March 8, May 1. At the same time, the posters are made with the same good irony characteristic of Vladimir Deikun. Friends and relatives, recalling him, say that Vladimir Vasilievich was a great and real artist, a cheerful person, with an amazing sense of humor.
The exhibition will be located on the first floor of the gallery at the address: st. Karl Marx, 23. The opening will take place on February 14, 2017, beginning at 16.00. Entrance to the opening is free. You can see the exposition of the works of Vladimir Deikun until March 2, 2017.
