On June 4, an exhibition of Viktor Krasilnikov "In Search of Origins" opens at the Kaluga Museum of Fine Arts (103 Lenina St.).
Viktor Krasilnikov’s paintings have amazing, attractive power. They charm, live and communicate with their audience, amaze with their sincerity and freshness of feelings.
Artist Viktor Krasilnikov is a harmonious creative person, a delicate and educated person who, with his desire and love for the muse of fine arts, has achieved tremendous professionalism. Today he is an active member of the Union of Artists of Russia. When they ask him: "Who did you study with?" - he jokingly replies: "At Vasily Dmitrievich," meaning V. Polenov.
The fate of the artist is interesting. Victor Vladimirovich was born on January 8, 1964. He lived and grew up in Moscow. He painted from early childhood. At the age of 11, Victor was admitted to study at the school at the Art Institute. V.I.Surikov. But he did not go to study at an art school, since at the age of 12 he became interested in hockey. The career developed rapidly. For many years he played in the team "Wings of the Soviets", and also played for the youth national team of the USSR as a goalkeeper. But when fate threw him to Krasnoyarsk, Kharkov, Kiev, Riga or Prague, he always visited an art gallery or art museum, studied with interest the paintings of Vasily Perov, Vasily Surikov, Vasily Polenov.
Today, V. Krasilnikov’s paintings are presented in the art gallery of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow, in the Voronovskaya gallery, as well as in museums and art galleries in different cities of the country. Many of the artist’s works are in private collections, both in Russia and abroad. For more than twenty years, the painter has been a member of the International Federation of Artists and the Creative Union of Artists of Russia.
Currently, leaving the bustle of the capital, Viktor Krasilnikov lives and works in the Russian outback, not far from the town of Yukhnov in the Kaluga region. He actively works, participates in exhibitions, goes to the open air and still plays hockey.
The exposition presents the works of the master, made in different years and in various techniques. First of all, this is landscape painting. The artist lives among nature, loves, feels and observes it. He sees and tries to capture every unique moment of the outgoing nature. "Spring Ugra", "Msta River", "View from the Temple Mount in Ples" - these works of the artist captivate with their charming simplicity, showing the very essence and discreet beauty of the Russian land.
V. Krasilnikov devotes many paintings to the image of small towns and villages in Russia, creating captivating images full of love and quiet pride in their country (Ples, Kozelsk, Meshchovsk, Kaluga, Podolsk, Uteshevo, etc.).
Working in the genre of still life, the artist does not just strive to convey to us the "quiet life of things" presented in his canvases. He goes on and creates a whole story. The author tells about the people who owned these objects, about the time and era when they were created, about those moments of life and the emotions that they evoked ("Kaluga Bride", "Saturday").
The artist also tries himself in portraiture, revealing the images of loved ones, people nearby. Noting at the same time that the portrait has become a new height in his work ("Portrait of Galich").
The exhibition will run until July 4.
