In the works of Muradova, an extensive palette of textile crafts is presented - classical weaving, printing, painting, embroidery, three-dimensional sewing. She freely plays with technicians, comes up with original authoring techniques and means, for example, including authoring photographs, printing on canvas, imitation of tapestry and much more. In his mosaic compositions, the author uses a variety of fabrics, lace, bugles, embroidery, foil, introduces fragments of weaving, includes real objects as signs of memory and symbols of events. ”
The works of N. Muradova are filled with various associations: they send us to the origins of Russian culture, turn to the treasures of world art, the enduring beauty of architectural monuments, the subtle poetic word, show the diverse facets of the author’s deep personal impressions and experiences embodied in the material.
Muradova does not limit herself in visual media, often combining classical techniques with modern technological know-how, which allows to achieve a special expressiveness of works. By twisting the thin and inextricable threads - of high craftsmanship and limitless imagination - the artist creates a kind of tapestry of a complex creative person.
About her work, Natalya Vladimirovna says this: “… I love chance, unbridled, but organized into a new reality of the objective world with the help of fabrics, threads, paints, paper… grabbing a moment in a state of nature, I string my impressions, following the thought, mood and material… ".
Natalia Vladimirovna Muradova was born in Poland in the city of Lodz in 1946. She graduated from the Moscow Textile Institute (Moscow State University named after A.N. Kosygin) in 1971. In addition to active creative work, Natalya Vladimirovna gives lectures, holds master classes, and participates in thematic conferences. For more than 20 years, the artist is a representative of Russia and a curator-consultant of the International Triennial of Art Textiles in the city of Lodz.
N.V. Muradova is the author of artistic textiles from small souvenir forms and exhibition panels, to large theater curtains and tapestries in public buildings, government offices. Her works adorn the interiors of the Residence of the President of the Russian Federation in the Moscow Kremlin, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation at the Cook, State Tretyakov Gallery.
Muradova created a hand-woven tapestry “Time” for the Supreme Court of Russia, which forms the space of the library. At the exhibition, viewers will see a sketch for it. Virtuoso in the technique of execution of the panel “Moscow - the center of cultural events” and others. During the grand reconstruction of the Residence of the President of Russia in the Moscow Kremlin, the 50-meter tapestry “The Shine of Moscow”, a photo of which will be presented at the exposition, was performed at the famous French factory in Aubusson under the supervision of the author. N. Muradova is the only Russian artist who has ever worked in this unique place. Her sketches and cardboards are stored in the Aubusson Museum next to the drawings by Watteau, Boucher, Jacques Lyurs.
For more than 20 years, in creative partnership with leading masters of modern monumental and decorative art (T. Sazhin, L. Fomina), Natalya Muradova worked on such landmark projects as the USSR Embassy in Paris, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Olympic Village, and the State Tretyakov Gallery.
