This year, the outstanding Russian and Soviet landscape painter Nikolai Petrovich Krymov (1884 - 1958) marks 135 years. N.P. Krymov is a corresponding member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR, People’s Artist of the RSFS. He went down in the history of Russian and Soviet art, first of all, as a partisan connoisseur and an inspired singer of his native Russian nature, who subtly understood and felt it. In his landscapes reflected an active life-affirming perception of the world. The collection of the Pushkin Museum contains one of his early works - a small landscape “Mill”, created in 1919.
