Today, artistic thought is characterized by pronounced theatricality. Contemporary art exhibitions strive for scenic forms, for the emergence of a special dramaturgy, manifested as a theater. Picturesque and graphic works of artists, art objects, installations in this system cannot live on their own, presenting a complete author’s statement. They appear extended in time, invite to dialogue. The conditional wall between man and space, “museum exhibits” and visitors is collapsing. The “theater” itself and the “observer” become the main “actors”.

The exhibition "World of Theater" is an attempt to study the processes taking place at the junction of contemporary and stage art. The exposition will include the works of students of the theater laboratory of Dmitry Krymov, the children’s art gallery Isopark, as well as works by both theater artists and authors working in the latest visual-semantic systems.
