“The Year of the Language and Literature of Great Britain in Russia” at the FoSSart Gallery will be marked by the exhibition of watercolors by Karina Zamilova “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”.
The artist’s works are filled with fictional, fantastic creatures, and events are presented through a haze of dreams and dreams. The Magic Forest as an animated character, Titania, in love lovingly kissed the donkey face of her chosen one, as an eccentric paraphrase on the royal couple, Theseus and Hippolyta! The graphic series of illustrations by Karina Zamilova is surprisingly accurate. Watercolor lines, only hinting through the exquisite fleur to the elusive beauty of youth, dissolve in a range of fragile bends and shapes.
A member of the Union of Artists of St. Petersburg, Karina Zamilova, has been participating in major collective exhibitions for over 20 years, during which time the artist has completed more than 10 personal projects.
The exhibition runs until April 30th.
Entrance to the exhibition is free, from 12.00 to 21.00
