From July 23 at the KMII at the address Kaluga, st. Lenin 103 (first floor) exhibition "Kaluga: travel in time" begins. An extensive diversified exposition will bring together more than 60 works of artists who lived and worked in our city, and domestic masters who glorified the image of Kaluga and its inhabitants in their work. Using the example of painting, graphics and decorative objects from the collection of the Kaluga Museum of Fine Arts, viewers will follow how the rich history and culture of the region was reflected in the art of various types and genres.
The exhibition will cover three broad themes. The works of the first section illustrate the history of Kaluga from the Middle Ages to the end of the twentieth century, the second section presents images of the monuments of Russian classicism architecture, which our city is rich in. The last thematic section will surprise the audience with colorful poetic images of Kaluga.
In addition, a rich educational program has been prepared for the exhibition: master classes in watercolor sketches, oil pastels, creative classes in architectural layout and thematic excursions.
The exhibition will run until September 1, 2021.
