From October 7 to December 31, 2016, the exhibition project “Ironic Graphics” will work in the Varshavka Gallery-Studio of the Exhibition Halls of Moscow Association. The works of the participants of the exhibition of cartoonists were previously presented in China and Bulgaria.
The project consists of two parts: “Gagarin’s Smile” (50 paintings) and “Russia Plus” (70 paintings). Ironic graphics allow you to look at yourself from the outside, think about existing vices, and critically evaluate the world around you. In the works of artists, visitors can see a certain message addressed to a resident of a modern metropolis.
Partners of the exhibition are the Guild of Cartoonists of the Media Union of Russia and Moscow.
Curator - Georgy Nikich
Coordinator - Andrei Ryzhov, famous cartoonist
The official opening is October 7, 2016.
Every Tuesday at 6 p.m. and Thursday at 4 p.m. the workshop will host master classes in mosaic using the Escher technique. Club evenings, a discussion club, and a cartoon contest are also planned.
