“Horizon inside” is an endless landscape of semi-fantastic predawn dawn landscapes of the Black Earth region, hovering somewhere in a weightless environment, enveloping the viewer and immersing him in the horizon or giving the opportunity to launch the horizon inside yourself. Elements of satellite maps of the Cretaceous mountains and steppes of the Voronezh region, which are very important places for the author, are embedded in a stretching line of man-made painting strokes scattered in space. Here and there, silhouettes of Don bends and ruts of chalk roads flickering beyond the tops of the hills flash.
The horizontal projections of the native landscape, snatched from the Internet, automatically become part of a new perspective, stretched out in space. The viewer, moving along the endless frozen panorama, is surrounded by the horizon, getting at some point from the familiar environment of the city’s vertical structures into the endless fields that exist outside of time.
The installation is built into the space of the Center for Identity - the museum of the district and even goes beyond the premises, stretching between the spans of the columns of nearby residential buildings in the Konkovo district. Here, the endless chernozem landscape acquires a new meaning, interacting with the local constructivist architecture and intangible heritage.
