From early youth, the portrait occupies a special place in the work of A. K. Krizhanovskaya. At the age of 19, she created a number of graphic self-portraits.
In 2013-2014, work on a series of oil portraits "Life in Art" was completed. In these works, the author captured the outstanding Russian writers, directors, actors, musicians belonging to the generation of the "sixties".
In addition to paintings, the artist creates many works in watercolor, which skillfully conveys the variety of states of nature. These works include a series of landscapes depicting different cities of Europe, Marmaris, Odessa, Moscow, the Moscow region.
Of the cities of Europe, distinguished by ancient architecture, the cycle “Venice” was especially successful for the artist. The author lovingly conveys the turquoise shades of the water, the beauty of the spiers and Venetian architecture, the gold of the sunset. Venice is also daytime - filled with light, sunny, and sunset, and night. This is the favorite city of Joseph Brodsky, a city that has found a place in the heart of the artist.
