Alexey Tsybisov is one of the most talented and active young artists of Tatarstan. He was born and raised in Kazan, in 2009 he graduated from the Kazan Art College. N. I. Feshina, in 2015 - Moscow State Academic Art Institute. V.I. Surikova, in 2016 joined the Union of Artists of Russia and began teaching at the Kazan State Institute of Culture. In 2018, he completed his education in the picturesque creative workshops of the Russian Academy of Arts in Kazan. His first solo exhibition in the halls of the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan is a kind of summing up.
Alexey Tsybisov works in pictorial and graphic techniques, using traditional materials - canvas and oil, paper and pencil. A good academic school determines sufficient professional freedom, interest in life makes you peer into the environment, inner fullness gives impetus to poetic experiences, giving rise to diametrically opposed images.
Graphics by Alexei Tsybisov is a direct reflection of the visible world, which makes us recall the once fashionable direction of "hyperrealism", the interest in which is reviving again in our time. His drawings are an attentive and in-depth analysis of reality, which makes it possible to see the essence of things behind scrupulously accurate reproduction of forms - whether it be portraits of old people with a difficult fate or hiding from life young men, abandoned houses with boarded up windows or rusty metal of mechanical monsters.
The paintings by Alexei Tsybisova are populated with images that evoke nostalgic feelings about the departed Belle Époque, a beautiful era on the eve of the First World War, when scientific and technological progress was accompanied by the flourishing of culture and art, when men were courageous and elegant, and women were graceful and delightful. Sophisticated lines of silhouettes without portrait features, subtle color combinations, an exquisite play of picturesque textures - all this allows not only to imagine, but also to see firsthand the Artist’s Dream.
The exhibition runs until September 17, 2018.
