From May 13 to June 18, 2017, the first personal exhibition of Alexandra Dugarova will be held in Irkutsk. The exposition entitled “Breathe” will be housed in the “V. Bronstein Gallery” and will include more than 40 paintings created in recent years.
The creativity of Alexandra Dugarova is multifaceted, she took place as a painter, graphic artist, illustrator, costume designer and stage designer. The artist adheres to different directions - this is abstract expressionism, there are works reminiscent of the art of post-impressionists, and some paintings can be called cubist. Such eclecticism will help viewers look into the history of European art. As Alexandra Dugarova herself says, the style in which she works is unique, born in the process of continuous creative searches.
Any painting by Dugarova expresses a manifesto and encourages the viewer to respond, pay attention to what seems incomprehensible at first glance, but if you think in terms of artistic images, sensations of composition and color, artistic rhythms, a lot becomes clear and becomes understandable. Near each picture, you can freeze for a few minutes and reflect, because each work of the artist represents ambiguous symbols. The audience will have to think about what is the form, color, rhythm, line, spot and other graphic boundaries in this boundless space of the artist’s creative imagination.
Alexandra Dugarova is a participant in 80 international, all-Russian, zonal, regional, republican and city exhibitions in Russia and Germany. However, a personal exhibition in Irkutsk opens for the first time. According to the artist, an exhibition is an artistic statement or a program manifesto. This is something that is created purposefully, consciously, thoughtfully, with finds or losses, contradictions. This aspiration is an ongoing search for form.
Tickets cost 150 rubles (for adults), 50 rubles (for children 3-18 years old) and 50 rubles (for preferential categories of citizens).
