February 25, 2016 at 17:00 in the Kaluga Museum of Fine Arts will open the personal exhibition of Alexander Shilov “Our Homeland - Russia”.
The exhibition acquaints Kaluga residents and city guests with the work of Alexander Alexandrovich Shilov - a painter, master of the lyrical landscape, the UN Ambassador to the United Nations, the Head of the Committee on Spiritual Heritage of the Assembly of the Peoples of Russia, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts, Vice-Rector of the Moscow Art Theater named after V.I. Surikova.
A. A. Shilov was born in 1974 in Moscow. In 1993 he graduated from the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography named after S. A. Gerasimov. In 2005 he graduated from the Moscow State Academic Art Institute. V.I. Surikova. He is a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, a member of the Moscow Union of Artists, a member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. People’s Artist of the Republic of Ingushetia since 2004. People’s artist of the Chechen Republic since 2015. Honored Artist of the Republic of Dagestan since 2016.
Each landscape of the artist is a light of peace, kindness and cordial affection for Russia, indicating to the viewer the path of love for the Motherland. That is why in 2007 the landscapes of A.A. Shilov, together with the astronauts, traveled to the International Space Station, becoming the first works of art that have been in space, and also entered the school textbook on natural science as illustrations of Russian nature.
Given Alexander Shilov’s reverent attitude to the patriotic and cultural education of our children, he holds his exhibition under the slogan “Give children joy!”. Thanks to the funds raised from the sale of tickets, A. A. Shilov will present posters of his paintings to schools in the city of Kaluga. The artist’s landscapes will become visual aids revealing to children the love for their native nature, native land, and, therefore, for their homeland.
Each of you, coming to the exhibition "Our Homeland - Russia", will become a participant in this program and will contribute to the upbringing of our children.
Vernissage of the exhibition will be held in the "Information, educational and exhibition center" of the Kaluga Museum of Fine Arts at the address: Kaluga, st. Lenin, d.103.
For visitors, the exhibition will run from February 25, 2016 to March 21, 2016.
