June 9 in the gallery "Belyaevo" Association "Exhibition Halls of Moscow" opens the international exhibition "Along the Great Silk Road. From West to East ”, in which artists from Italy, Russia and China take part.
The project is based on the idea of reviving an ancient route that once connected Europe and Asia. Paved in the 2nd century BC The Great Silk Road not only contributed to the establishment of trade relations between the West and the East, but also opened the world to the diversity of cultures of the peoples living here.
With the construction of a modern high-speed highway “Europe - Western China”, which will take place in many areas following the tracks of an ancient caravan road, the process of studying the influence and interpenetration of customs and traditions, the penetration of cultural values, and artistic practices becomes more relevant than ever.
It is symbolic that both in the routes of the Great Silk Road and in the art project of the same name, Russia occupies a key position, the Republic of Bashkortostan represents it in the project: due to its geographical and ethnocultural position, it is the “golden mean” in the space of dialogue between the cultures of East and West.
Three stories, three different views of the world can be seen in the gallery "Belyaevo" at the exhibition "Along the Great Silk Road. From West to East ”in the works of Russian artists from Bashkortostan, European - from Italy and Eastern - from China. The exposition route ranges from typical oriental realistic art to European design art. Along with paintings, the exhibition will feature bronze busts of national heroes of those countries along which the Great Silk Road passed (the author is a famous sculptor from Bashkortostan, a member of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Rafail Zinurov), as well as two author’s ethnological collections of clothes and accessories created by based on the plots of paintings by Bashkir artist Rausania Badretdinova and a group of Italian artists (design projects “Descended from Paintings” and “KorovaMilk”).
The project was initiated by the Qualitaly Cultural Association (Turin, Italy), the organizer of international cooperation programs at the MilanEXPO World Exhibition, with the participation of the Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bashkortostan under the President of the Russian Federation, the World Federation of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy.
In Moscow, the project is being implemented with the support of the Moscow Department of Culture and the Moscow Exhibition Halls Association.
